Very Rare Vintage Collectable Sound Processor

These sound Processors Are Super Rare if you can even find one at all. These were a most classic DBX audio effect. If you have the power amp and speakers that can handle the enhanced low end generated by this super low end subharmonic bass generator. I have just made your day. This removed from a working system and has been sitting for many years without use. It was used in a commercial sound installation and it has recently been hooked up, tested and now has had service performed on cleaning and lubricating the controls within it this DBX 500 and checking it out and working it over to help insure decades more of trouble free operation. 

Previously this unit was stored for many years and was quite dirty in all honesty. In a recent visit to a technical service facility. Seller was offered the choice of a minimum shop fee of $75.00 which would establish proper operation, check to conform it was operating within normal performance and signal to noise parameters and clean and lubricate the controls or their second option was for for $90.00 they would spend some time on the case as well and have it cleaned up to look quite a bit younger again for this $ 90.00 package and your seller opted for this upgraded service to be performed and the results were quite impressive. This unit looks much better now that it did when it was taken to this service facility. Unit was tested to provide both conventional signal and had the built in low frequency crossover output operation verified and confirmed working as well.

The size is a standard 19 inch rack mount case and it is 2 rack spaces high in height. Since the unit has now been both confirmed operational and professionally serviced. You can't beat the deal and value on the purchase of this now most vintage and very rare DBX 500 Subharmonic Processor.

The way this processor operates if you are not familiar with these is the unit actually generates a super deep and often thunderous resonating bass not one octave below the low end of your recorded material you are listing to and then you adjust the level and intensity of the the sub-harmonic low end boost to suit your own listening taste or music style you might be using this with. For the most part, once you find a setting that works for your taste. You will pretty much be able to pretty well leave the unit alone and enjoy greatly enhanced low end bass on your current sound system. I will share this unit is not for those without a most capable audio system capable of deliver a stong low end and with speakers that can hold up to this increased strain on them and the required power from your amplifier. If you really want to beef things up. You can add an additional power amp just for the low end and take advantage of the built-in crossover on this quality vintage and most rare DBX 500 Sub Harmonic Synthesizer and Processor.

This unit is a real find and most rare today and I have it really bargain priced for a vintage collector today. Seller is just cleaning out stuff and I no longer have the system around to currently fully test this unit. I can share it has now been tested, serviced and is recently been confirmed working with normal performance. My overall assessment of condition is the case does show wear and tear from quite a long life of use and there is some scratching on the faceplate which is not too noticeable unless one is being critical. Seller purchased establishment with this installed and running and pretty much any of us that ever used this pretty much remember it in about this same condition. DBX audio products are well built and withstand a high level of abuse. I imagine this processor is good to go for a long time to come based on this fact alone.
