Boss AVA-550 Car Stereo Power Amplifier With Built In Subwoofer Crossover.

You have a chance to pick up this rare high quality stereo mobile audio amp I have this amp still around from various endeavors which I am now out of. This is the Boss AVA-550 Car Audio Power Amplifier with built in Electronic Variable Attenuation Point Subwoofer Crossover. This Amp may be used in a regular full way car stereo installation for rich sounding audio or it may be used in bi-amp, tri-amp or multi frequency split installations with an external electronic crossover. Overall these are a dependable workhorse of an amplifier and I have never had one fail we sold when in business if properly installed.

Unit features barrier strip high quality gold plated terminals for power and speaker connections. Uses a standard GM Type Fuse as shown. This amp was only installed on a car stereo demo board with very light use and has never been installed in a vehicle. It's running hours are minimal and it was working when removed from service when the store was sold.

These are so easy to install and a breeze to work with for almost any type of installation. You can use it as high quality full range stereo audio or as a designated subwoofer amplifier for plenty of booming bass without having to buy a separate electronic crossover. It has a smooth variable attenuation point subwoofer crossover built in. Your choice on installation. You can use it for a boom or thump bass amp or as a quality low distortion crisp audio and high quality traditional car stereo amplifier.

The amp says 210W + 210 W on it's face implying 210 Watts Per Channel. We all know there are allot of games on car audio specs. This is an actual true specification snapshot that appears on the PRO OEM Car Audio Installers box when purchased. We happened to have this still around from files. The original box is not included. This unit was used on a demo board only and never installed in a regular car audio installation. These amps are really nice and built solid.

What you are really getting is a high quality 100 Watt Per Channel At 4 Ohm Amp which in a car environment is quite impressive in itself. Of course it is good for at least twice the power in the bridgeable mono mode. These amps are durable and as indicated. I have never had one fail if you wire it up correctly.
