Biamp 4000 Professional DJ Audio Mixer

This is the real deal. It's a Professional Grade Industrial Duty Pro-Sound DJ Mixer. This mixer is built tough with a capital T. These are used in extensively in Nightclubs around the Country. These were very expensive new and I have a few boards around that were either used in my own installations or obtained as backup boards in the event of failure of an in service board. Due to everything currently being in a disarray. I am unable to thoroughly test this unit. I did a brief test and it does pass signal and I did not detect to much control noise. It seemed to be okay and as you can see on the picture above. It is powered up and working. You see the DB beat match sync meters illuminated. Oh that's another cool feature on this board. It has the DJ Beat sync feature that allows you synchronize your turntable 1 beat and turntable 2 beat for Club DJ Beat Blending applications. The talkover switch is variable and you can adjust how much the music audio drops when you hit the talkover switch for announcements. I have used Numark boards where when you clicked the switch and very abruptly, it almost entirely killed the music making the talkover feature almost entirely useless in many installations on many Numark, Gemini, American DJ and Audio Technica Mixers. How I used those mixers. I just found dropping the level on the slide pots to be more practical than the talkover due to this reason. You buy this Biamp and this problem is solved for you. Biamp Audio saw this problem and really designed these mixers to be top flight and first class for professional installations. Talk over attenuation is not a problem with this Biamp Audio MIxer. You personally decide and personally adjust for your own installation and needs how much attenuation to apply on the talk over feature. I have used Biamp Mixing Boards In a number of applications and they never fail. You just might need to change a slide pot every now and then with them. These are way more durable than your stand run of the mill Numark or worse yet, Gemini, American DJ, Audio Technica or other el-cheapo economy audio mixers you would normally find at this kind of price level. This is a pro duty commerical grade mixer that is sitting around collecting dust and you can pick it up really cheap as I empty out space. 

These can be used horizontally or vertically. We had it installed in a sloping console to avoid drinks being spilled in it and I would recommend doing the same unless you are using it vertically. Of course this mixer is standard 19" rack mount width for pro audio installations.

As you can see it has a monitor output plus an output to drive sound activated line level lighting devices. The mic input is a Professional Canon XLR on the rear for industrial permanent  pro-sound wiring or 1/4 inch jack on the front panel as needed by many mobile DJ installations. These are a dream to use and one of the most durable on the market available.
